Bio

Aric Adamson graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in Spring 2023. He was an Undergraduate research assistant working in CWJCR on a variety of projects, including a thermomechanical and microstructural evaluation of advanced manufactured Generation 3 Concentrated Solar Power Systems (Gen3 CSP) components and their weldments; ceramic to metal joining for Gen3 CSP; and analyzing solar weldments. Aric has earned first place in the 2022 American Welding Society Poster Competition in the Undergraduate category. He is now pursuing a PhD project under Dr. Zhenzhen Yu on the development of multi-principal element alloy (MPEA) for nickel-base superalloy braze repair.
