Bio

Olivia DeNonno is currently pursuing an M.S. at Colorado School of Mines with research focused on a data driven qualification framework for metal additive manufacturing. Specifically, Olivia is focused on microstructure mapping of L-PBF 316 stainless steel alloy based on AM process parameters and primary solidification behavior. Olivia graduated magna cum laude from CSM in December 2020 with a B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Olivia is a Pathways Engineering Intern at Goddard Space and Flight Center – NASA where she will return after completing her Masters. As an undergraduate, Olivia worked on research related to grain refinement of carburized steel as well as research on the aging degradation mechanisms of a new steel alloy for use in sodium fast reactors.
